Who we are?
Founded in May 2020, CIRCLE International is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion locally and globally. What began as a small initiative to support refugees and immigrants has grown into a wider movement for justice, belonging, and empowerment.
In Canada, our work focuses on anti-racism, equity, and inclusion through education, awareness campaigns, capacity-building programs, and advocacy. We stand with marginalized communities in Alberta—immigrants, refugees, racialized groups, women, and youth—by co-creating solutions that address systemic barriers and promote meaningful participation in society.
We also support refugees and immigrants in their resettlement journey, offering need based services and promoting partnerships with host communities to encourage cultural exchange and mutual understanding through sharing and discussions. This dual approach strengthens community bonds and ensures that diversity is not just acknowledged but celebrated.
Beyond Canada, CIRCLE International engages in international initiatives to amplify voices from vulnerable communities, advance human rights, and strengthen grassroots leadership. We collaborate with global partners to share expertise, advocate for policy change, and design innovative solutions in areas such as migration, public health, and gender equality.
At our core, CIRCLE International believes that sustainable change is only possible when communities themselves are empowered to lead. By combining local action with global solidarity, we strive to create a world where everyone—regardless of race, gender, or background—has the opportunity to thrive.

We know the world is better when she leads too. But in order for her to lead, her basic rights must be prioritized: she needs to be safe, she needs to be healthy, and she needs to have dignified livelihoods.
